Trash Collection Schedule

Trash is collected weekly on assigned pickup days depending on your location in Greensboro.

Trash must be placed curbside in city-provided rollout carts by 7 a.m. on your pickup day. Carts should be 3 feet away from any obstacles.

Each household is provided one 96-gallon cart for trash included with city services. Additional carts can be requested for a fee.
Recycling Collection Schedule

Recycling is collected every other week on your assigned pickup day.

Place leaves, grass clippings, branches, and other yard waste curbside in bags, personal containers, or reusable bins.

Tree limbs and branches must be cut to 4 feet or shorter and bundled.

Holiday Collection Schedule
Trash and recycling collection are delayed by one day after the following holidays:
- New Year’s Day
- Martin Luther King Jr. Day
- Memorial Day
- Independence Day
- Labor Day
- Thanksgiving Day
- Christmas Day
If the holiday falls on your normal collection day, expect pickup to occur the following day for that week only.
Missed Collection
If your trash, recycling, or yard waste is not collected on your scheduled pickup day, please report the missed collection by 5 p.m. that day:
