Trash Collection Schedule

• Trash collection occurs twice per week on either a Monday/Thursday schedule or a Tuesday/Friday schedule.

• Collection days are determined by your address when you set up utility service with the city.

• Trash must be placed curbside by 7:00 AM on collection days.

• Trash cannot be placed curbside earlier than 7:00 PM the evening before your scheduled pickup.

• Each household is allowed up to 2 cubic yards of trash per week (about 8 trash bags).

Recycling Collection Schedule

• Recycling is collected once per week on Monday, Tuesday, or Friday depending on your address.

• Your recycling day is assigned when you set up utility service and receive a recycling bin from the city.

• Recycling must also be placed curbside by 7:00 AM on your scheduled day.

Trash and Recycling Preparation

• All trash must be bagged or placed in trash cans (max 33 gallons, 50 lbs each).

• Recyclables should be clean and placed loosely in your recycling bin. No bagged recyclables.

• Tree branches must be tied in 4 foot bundles weighing less than 50 lbs each.

• Brush and bulky items are collected on the 2nd trash day of the week. Limit of 20 cubic yards of brush and 2 cubic yards of bulky items.

• No contractor construction debris allowed.

• Appliances, furniture, and other bulky items may be picked up if under 4ft x 6ft sections and under 50 lbs.

• Monthly loose brush collection up to 20 cubic yards for no additional fee. Follow guidelines on allowable sizes.

Hazardous Waste and Other Special Disposal

• Household hazardous waste like chemicals, batteries, paint, and electronics must be disposed of through special events or regional drop-off centers.

• Appliances with refrigerants like AC units and refrigerators require certified evacuation and tagging before being collected.

• Used motor oil can be recycled through drop-off centers. Do not place with curbside trash.

• Old paint cans be recycled through Community Waste Disposal’s Re-Mix paint recycling program.

Handicap Collection Services

Handicapped residents certified by their doctor can receive backdoor collection services. Containers must be visible from the street. Garages and enclosed areas cannot be serviced.
