Trash collection occurs twice per week on either a Monday & Thursday or Tuesday & Friday schedule depending on your address.

Each household is provided with a 96-gallon rolling cart for trash collection. Extra carts can be requested for an additional monthly fee.

Trash carts must be placed at the curb by 7 AM on collection days. Carts should be removed from the curb by the end of the collection day.

Trash that does not fit inside the cart must be bagged or bundled in 4 foot or smaller bundles weighing less than 50 pounds each.

The following holidays delay trash collection by 1 day for the entire week:

- New Year’s Day
- Memorial Day

Recycling Collection

Recycling is collected every other Wednesday based on your address. Refer to the Recycling Calendar to determine your collection dates.

Brush and yard waste is collected on the second trash day of the week – either Thursday or Friday.

Brush must be bundled with lengths no more than 4 feet long and branches no more than 3 feet high.

Grass clippings, leaves, and other yard waste must be placed in bags or personal containers – not city trash carts.
Landfill Access
- Woodway residents can access the landfill by providing a current city water bill or obtaining a landfill permit from City Hall.
Hazardous Waste Disposal

A Household Hazardous Waste Day is held each spring for safe disposal of hazardous items.
