Regular Trash Collection

Trash collection occurs once a week on your scheduled day. See the collection map to find your scheduled collection day.

Trash should be placed curbside in carts or bags by 7AM on collection day.

Carts must be removed from the curb by 10PM on collection day.

Each household is provided with one 95-gallon trash cart. Additional carts can be requested for a fee.

Trash in excess of cart capacity must be placed in bags or trash cans next to carts on collection day.
Recycling Collection

Curbside recycling collection occurs every other week on your scheduled day.

Recycling should be placed curbside in the provided recycling cart by 7AM on collection day.

Each household is provided with one 95-gallon recycling cart.

Collection weeks alternate between Week A and Week B.

Accepted recycling materials include glass, plastic bottles, aluminum cans, steel cans, mixed paper, cardboard, and cartons.
Bulk Waste Collection

Bulk waste collection occurs quarterly in each ward. See bulk waste collection schedule.

Items should be placed curbside by 7AM on your scheduled bulk collection day.

Accepted bulk items include furniture, appliances, and other large items.

Hazardous waste, tires, electronics, and construction debris are not accepted.
Holiday Schedule

No collection on major holidays:
- Memorial Day
- Independence Day
- Labor Day
- Thanksgiving
- Christmas Day
- New Year’s Day

If your normal collection day falls on a holiday, collection moves to the following day for that week only.
Special Collection Services

Roll-out service: Residents with disabilities may qualify for roll-out service where crews collect carts directly from the house.

Sharp disposal: Residents may dispose of sharps in approved sharps containers at City Hall.

Brush collection: Brush is collected curbside 6 times per year in each ward. See brush collection schedule.
Recycling Drop-Off Centers

Drop off recycling at the Environmental Resource Recovery Center (ERRC) at 7221 NE 10th St:
- Open Wed-Sat, 8AM-4PM
- Accepts glass, plastic, paper, cardboard, aluminum
- Does not accept styrofoam, plastic bags, or trash

Additional drop-off recycling centers are located at:

- Fire Station #1, 2828 Parklawn Dr
