Ridley Township Trash and Recycling Collection Schedule

Regular Trash Collection

• Trash is collected weekly on Mondays for residents.
• Trash must be placed curbside by 7:00 AM on collection day.
• Receptacles may be placed curbside no earlier than 12 hours before scheduled pickup.
• Receptacles must be removed from curbside by midnight on collection day.

Recycling Collection

• Recycling is collected weekly on Wednesdays.
• Recycling must be placed curbside by 7:00 AM on collection day.
• No plastic bags are permitted – all recycling must be loose in bins.

Accepted Recyclable Materials:

• Cardboard
• Aluminum & metal cans
• Plastic containers #1-2, 4-5, 7
• Glass bottles & jars
• Paperboard boxes
• Newspaper, magazines, junk mail
• Paperback books

Holiday Collection Schedule

Trash and recycling collection are suspended on the following holidays. Collection moves to the following day for the remainder of the week after a holiday.

• New Year’s Day
• Martin Luther King Jr. Day
• President’s Day
• Good Friday
• Memorial Day
• Independence Day
• Labor Day
• Thanksgiving Day
• Day after Thanksgiving
• Christmas Eve
• Christmas Day

Bulk Trash Collection

• Refrigerators, AC units, items with freon: $20 per item
• Washers, dryers, dishwashers, water heaters, metal appliances: $10 first item, $5 each additional item scheduled for same day pickup.

Contact Ridley Township at (610) 534-4800 to schedule and pay for bulk pickup. Items must have an authorized pickup sticker attached.

Yard Waste Collection

• Annual leaf collection in fall
• Yard waste collection in spring on a designated Thursday
• Drop off yard waste at Township Maintenance Garage (2nd & Sutton Aves in Folsom) Monday-Friday 8am-3pm excluding holidays

TV and Computer Recycling

TVs, computers, monitors and other electronics are not accepted with regular trash pickup. Contact Ridley Township for options on properly recycling these items.

Important Recent Changes

In 2022, some adjustments were made to the trash schedule:

• Indigenous Peoples’/Columbus Day (2nd Monday in October) – NO TRASH PICKUP
• Veteran’s Day (November 11) – Trash WILL be collected
