- Blue 95 gallon cart provided for recyclables
- Only clean and empty recyclables go in this cart
- No plastic bags can go in recycling cart
- Do not put trash in recycling cart
Green Waste Cart Information
- Optional 95 gallon green cart available for yard waste
- Extra fee applies for green waste cart service
- Leaves, grass clippings, small branches, etc go in green cart
- Overfill and overweight carts will not be collected
Cart Placement
- Carts must be placed curbside by 6AM on collection day
- Carts should be 3 feet from obstructions
- Lid opening faces street, handles face house
- Carts should not block sidewalks, streets, or snow plows
Missed Collections
For missed trash or recycling pickups, contact Big Bear City CSD at 909-585-2565. Missed collections will be picked up the following week.
Holidays and Inclement Weather
Trash and recycling collection is delayed by one day after holidays. View the holiday schedule on the Big Bear City CSD website.
During inclement weather when streets are unsafe, trash service may be delayed until the following week when weather permits safe collection.
Bulky Items and Excess Waste
Bulky items like furniture and mattresses cannot be collected curbside. Big Bear City CSD provides dumpsters and roll off containers for rent to dispose of bulky items and excess waste.
The Big Bear Transfer Station located at 38550 Holcomb Valley Road also accepts bulky items and excess waste for disposal or recycling.
Hazardous Waste Disposal
Household hazardous waste like chemicals, batteries, and paint must be taken to the Big Bear Lake Public Works Yard at 42040 Garstin Dr. on Saturdays from 9AM-2PM.
Electronic Waste Recycling
