The City of Cheyenne Sanitation Division handles trash and recycling collection for residents of Cheyenne.

• Trash collection occurs once per week.
• Recycling collection occurs every other week on the same day as trash pickup.

Trash and Recycling Pickup Policies

• Carts must be placed curbside by 6AM on pickup day. Carts should be removed from the curb by 10PM.
• Trash must be bagged inside carts. Do not place loose trash in carts.
• Recyclables should be clean and loose in carts – not bagged.
• Carts must be spaced 3 feet apart and 10 feet away from vehicles and other objects.

Hazardous waste like chemicals, batteries, CFL bulbs, and electronics cannot be placed in trash or recycling.

Missed Trash and Recycling Pickups
