Trash Collection Schedule

• Trash is collected once per week on designated days:

  • Monday
  • Tuesday
  • Wednesday
  • Thursday

• Find your collection day on the Collection Day Lookup Map.

• Trash should be placed curbside by 6AM on collection day.

Recycling Collection Schedule

• Recycling is collected weekly on the same day as your trash.

• Use the Collection Day Lookup Map to find your recycling day.

• Place recycling curbside by 6AM on collection day.

Holiday Schedule Changes

• If a holiday falls on your collection day, pickup moves to one day later that week.

• View the official Holiday Collection Calendar for specifics.

Trash and Recycling Policies

• Trash must be placed in City-issued 64-gallon carts.

• Bagged trash can be used in Old Town where carts are not issued.

• Do not place trash or recycling out earlier than 5PM the evening before collection day.

• Unacceptable items: hazardous waste, construction debris, dirt, rocks, stumps, liquids.

Missed Collection

• Report missed collection via Alex311.

• Check for an “oops tag” explaining why pickup was missed.

Special Services

• Backdoor “walk-out” service available for elderly or disabled residents.

• Extra trash collection can be scheduled for a fee on Wednesdays.
