Trash and recycling pickup is suspended on these holidays and delayed by one day that week:

• Memorial Day
• Independence Day
• Labor Day
• Thanksgiving
• Christmas Day

Trash Cart Rental

• Carts are owned by Harter’s and rented by residents
• 95 gallon carts for single family homes
• 65 gallon carts for mobile homes
• Contact Harter’s to switch cart sizes
• Extra cart fees apply

Trash Guidelines

• Place bagged trash in rodent-proof carts
• Carts cannot exceed 45 gallons and 60 lbs
• No loose trash
• No hazardous materials, chemicals, paint, batteries, tires, electronics
• No large furniture, appliances, mattresses

Recycling Guidelines

• Place loose recyclables in recycling cart
• Check calendar for your biweekly pickup weeks
• No bagged recyclables

Yard Waste

• Collected weekly April – November
• Place leaves, grass, brush in paper bags or cans up to 45 gallons
• Bundle branches under 4 feet long
• No plastic bags

Bulk Items

• Fees apply per item collected
• Generally collected opposite recycling weeks

Hazardous & Electronic Waste

Hazardous waste cannot be disposed in your regular trash. Contact the village for proper disposal.
