Holiday Collection Schedule
If the regular collection day falls on or after a major holiday, collection is pushed back by one day that week:

- Independence Day
- Labor Day
- Thanksgiving Day
- Christmas Day

Trash and Recycling Bin Guidelines
Follow these guidelines for proper curbside collection:
- Place bins at least 3 feet away from objects like mailboxes, vehicles, and other bins.
- Face bin openings toward the street with lids closed.
- Do not overfill bins – lids should be able to fully close.
- Clearly mark yard waste bins as “yard waste.”
- Break down boxes and yard waste debris to conserve space.
Bins should not be placed at the curb more than 24 hours before your scheduled pickup day.

Hazardous Waste Disposal
Do not place household hazardous waste in your curbside bins. Schedule drop-off of hazardous items at Volusia County’s Environmental Center:
