Pensacola, FL ECUA Trash and Recycling Schedule

This article provides an overview of trash and recycling collection services from the Emerald Coast Utilities Authority (ECUA) in Pensacola, Florida and surrounding unincorporated Escambia County.

Service Area

ECUA provides trash, recycling, and yard waste collection for:

• Residential properties in unincorporated Escambia County
• Commercial properties in unincorporated Escambia County
• The ECUA service area includes all of Escambia County except the City of Pensacola and Town of Century

Collection Schedule

• Trash is collected 1 time per week on your assigned day
• Recycling is collected 1 time per week on your assigned day (optional opt-in program)
• Yard waste is collected 1 time per week on your assigned day

Holiday Schedule

ECUA observes the following holidays, which delay collection by 1 day through the end of that week:

• New Year’s Day
• Martin Luther King Jr. Day
• Presidents’ Day
• Memorial Day
• Independence Day
• Labor Day
• Thanksgiving Day
• Christmas Day

Collection Policies

• Carts must be curbside by 6am on pickup day
• Do not overfill carts or jam items in
• Return carts to your property by the end of collection day
• Do not put bags, glass, Styrofoam, or food waste in recycling

Bulk Trash

• Bulk trash includes large items like furniture that don’t fit in your bin
• Must call 850-476-0480 by 2pm the day before pickup to schedule
• Limit of 1 bulk pile (6ft x 6ft x 6ft) per week

Yard Waste

• Use paper bags or cans labeled “yard waste”
• Bundle limbs under 4ft long and 50lbs
• Limit of 20 bags/cans and 2 piles per week

Safely dispose of hazardous waste like chemicals, batteries, paint at the Perdido Landfill Household Hazardous Waste Facility.
