Collection Guidelines

All trash and recycling must be curbside by 7AM on your collection day.

Trash barrels/bags should not exceed 32 gallons or 50 pounds.

Recyclables should be placed in a bin labeled “Hopkinton Recycles.”

Yard waste must be in paper bags or open containers marked “yard waste.”

Brush must be tied in 4 foot lengths.

Hazardous waste, electronics, tires, construction debris, and appliances are not accepted.

White goods collection – Stoves, washers, water heaters and other large appliances are accepted on the last Saturday each month from 7AM to 12PM at 66 Fruit Street. Refrigerators, AC units, and appliances with CFCs are not accepted.

Mattresses/textiles – Mattresses and textiles can be recycled for free at designated drop-off locations, which can be found through HELPSY and HPTO.

Electronic waste – E-waste is accepted on Saturdays at the Recycling Center for a fee based on the item type. Fees range from $1 for portable electronics to $20 for large TVs.
