- Trash barrels should not exceed 32 gallons in size and 50 pounds in weight.
- Excess trash can be placed in sealed bags alongside barrels. Bags should not exceed 30 gallons in size.
- Bulky items like furniture can be collected as trash. Residents should contact the Highway Department at least 24 hours before collection day to schedule pickup of bulky items. Fees may apply.
Recycling Collection
Maynard provides single-stream recycling collection. All recyclable materials can be placed curbside together in barrels – no sorting required.

- Memorial Day
- Independence Day
- Labor Day
- Thanksgiving Day
- Christmas Day
If the holiday falls on a Monday, collection is not delayed.
