Paine’s Inc. provides trash and recycling collection services for residential and commercial customers in Connecticut. This article provides an overview of Paine’s trash and recycling schedules, including regular collection days, holidays, and other key dates.
Regular Trash and Recycling Collection
Paine’s offers weekly curbside trash and recycling pickup for residential customers. Pickup days are designated by location and determined by Paine’s route schedule.
To find your scheduled pickup day, check Paine’s Street Lookup Tool. Enter your address to see your designated trash and recycling collection days.
Most residential trash and recycling is collected on the same day. However, some areas have split trash and recycling collection schedules. Be sure to check both trash and recycling for your address.
Trash and recycling carts must be placed curbside by 6:00 AM on collection days. Paine’s routes start at 6:00 AM, so it’s important to have carts out on time.
Holiday Schedule
Paine’s observes the following holidays, which can affect the normal trash and recycling pickup schedule:
- New Year’s Day
- Memorial Day
- Independence Day
- Labor Day
- Thanksgiving Day
- Christmas Day
If your regular pickup day falls on or after a holiday, your collection will be delayed by one day that week only.
For example, if your normal pickup is Wednesday and a holiday falls on Monday, Wednesday pickup will shift to Thursday that week. Thursday and Friday customers would also be delayed by one day.
