Trash and Recycling Cart Services

Redlands provides residents with 3 carts for trash, recycling, and green waste:

Green Cart – Yard Waste Collection

  • Accepts grass clippings, leaves, flowers, weeds, branches, etc.

  • Does not accept trash, dirt, lumber, rocks, palm fronds, etc.

  • Contaminated carts will not be collected.

Blue Cart – Recycling Collection

  • Accepts plastic bottles/jugs, cans, paper, cardboard, glass bottles/jars.

  • Does not accept plastic bags, styrofoam, bubble wrap, etc.

  • Recyclables should be clean, dry, and loose in the cart.

Black Cart – Trash Collection

  • Accepts non-recyclable waste like plastic bags and wrap, foam containers, diapers, pet waste.

  • Does not accept yard waste, recyclables, or food waste after 1/1/2022.

Food Waste Recycling

Residential food waste recycling is coming soon! Food waste will be accepted in the green yard waste cart. In the meantime, residents can participate in the 24-hour food waste drop-off program.

  • Accepted items: any food scraps, rinds, shells, bones, etc.

  • Place in clear plastic bags and deposit at drop-off sites.

  • Drop-off locations are available 24/7 at 3 sites in Redlands.

  • 30 free bulky item pickups are available each month, first-come first-served.
