Garbage Collection

• Garbage is collected weekly on your assigned collection day.

• Garbage should be bagged and placed in City-provided rollout carts.

• Carts must be placed at the curb by 6am on your collection day.

• Extra garbage can be disposed of by scheduling bulky item pickup for a fee.

Recycling Collection

• Recycling is collected biweekly on your assigned day.

• Recyclables should be placed loose in your recycling cart – no bags.

• Accepted recyclables include:

  • Paper and cardboard

  • Plastic bottles and jugs

  • Aluminum and steel cans

  • Glass bottles and jars

Yard Waste Collection

• Yard waste is collected weekly on your regular garbage collection day.

• Yard waste must be placed in paper bags, reusable containers, or bundled – no plastic bags.

• Accepted yard waste includes:

  • Leaves, grass clippings, brush

Holiday Collection Schedule

Trash and recycling collection are delayed by one day on the following holidays:

• Martin Luther King Jr Day
• Memorial Day
• Independence Day
• Labor Day
• Thanksgiving Day
• Christmas Day

Friday customers receive Saturday collection on holiday weeks.

Bulky Item and Appliance Collection

• Bulky items like furniture can be scheduled for curbside collection for a fee.

• Appliance collection can also be scheduled for a fee.

• The Citizen’s Convenience Center accepts bulky items and appliances for drop-off disposal.
