  • Recycling is collected once per week on your designated recycling day.

  • Yard waste is also collected weekly on your recycling day.

  • Bulky items like furniture and appliances are collected weekly on your recycling day – you must call 48 hours in advance to schedule bulky item pickup.

Trash Cart Guidelines

  • Trash and recycling carts should be placed curbside no earlier than 6pm the evening before your collection day and removed by 6am the day after. Carts must be 3 feet apart from each other.

  • Each home is provided one trash cart and two recycling carts. Additional carts can be requested or purchased by calling 239-252-2380.

  • Damaged or missing carts will be replaced free of charge by the county. Carts damaged due to negligence may incur a replacement fee.

  • Homeowners are responsible for cleaning trash and recycling carts. Dirty carts will not be exchanged.

  • All trash must fit inside the cart with the lid fully closed. Up to 10 additional trash bags can be placed next to the cart on collection day.

Recycling Guidelines

Collier County recycling carts accept the following clean and dry materials:

  • Plastic bottles, jars, jugs and tubs
