Holiday Trash Collection Schedule

Trash and recycling collection are suspended on major holidays:

• New Year’s Day – Recycling and yard waste only collected
• Martin Luther King Jr Day
• Memorial Day
• Independence Day
• Labor Day
• Thanksgiving Day
• Christmas Day

Collection resumes on the next scheduled day after a holiday.

Missed Trash Pickup

If your trash or recycling is missed on the scheduled collection day:

• Report the missed collection through the Solid Waste Customer Service Portal

• Or call the Solid Waste Customer Service at (813) 272-5680 for assistance.

• Missed trash will be collected within 24 hours of reporting.

Large Item and Yard Waste Collection

• Yard waste must be placed in trash cans or paper bags. Limbs can be bundled and tied.

• Large household items like furniture and appliances can be scheduled for curbside pickup by calling Solid Waste Customer Service.

• You can also self-haul large items to the nearest Community Collection Center. Fees may apply.

Options for Apartments and Multi-Family Homes

• Shared trash containers are provided for multi-family complexes with centralized collection points.

• Recycling carts may be available upon request for individual units.
