The City of Corpus Christi provides municipal trash and recycling collection services to residents. Here is an overview of the collection schedule, maps, guidelines, and key information for Corpus Christi households to follow.

Trash Collection

  • Trash is collected once per week on your designated collection day.

  • Trash carts (green carts) should be placed curbside by 7AM on collection day.

  • Make sure cart lids are completely closed. Overfilled carts will not be collected.

  • Do not place trash in recycling carts.

Recycling Collection

  • Recycling is collected every other week on your designated collection day.

  • Recyclables should be clean and loose in the recycling carts (blue carts), not bagged.

  • Accepted recyclables include plastic bottles/jugs, paper, cardboard, cartons, aluminum cans, and steel cans.

  • Follow the same cart placement guidelines as trash collection.

Brush and Bulky Item Collection

  • Brush and bulky items like furniture are collected several times per year. See the schedule for your zone.

  • Each household can place up to 6 cubic yards of brush and 2 bulky items curbside per collection.

  • Brush must be bundled and under 4 feet long. Bulky items should be separate from brush piles.
