Recycling Schedule
Recycling pickup occurs every other week and alternates between:
- Week 1: Cardboard only
- Week 2: All other recyclables (newspaper, glass, plastic, metal)
Holiday Schedule
If the holiday falls on a weekday, pickup for that day and the rest of the week shifts to one day later.
For example, if the holiday is Monday:
- Monday pickup moves to Tuesday
- Tuesday pickup moves to Wednesday
- Wednesday pickup moves to Thursday
- Thursday pickup moves to Friday
- Friday pickup moves to Saturday

- New Year’s Day
- Memorial Day
- Independence Day
- Labor Day
- Thanksgiving Day
- Christmas Day
Fees
- Auburn residents pay $20/year for a resident decal
- Non-residents pay $120/year for a non-resident decal
- Gate rate at the transfer station is $100/ton
- Minimum $3.60 per visit for residents
- Minimum $5 per visit for non-residents
Guidelines
- Place materials curbside before 7am on pickup day
- Recycling must be separated from trash
- Bundle, bag or containerize yard waste appropriately
