Regular Trash Collection Schedule

  • BSS Waste trash pickup occurs once per week on your designated service day.

  • Customers should have received a postcard or email notification of your specific service day when signing up for service.

  • Trash carts or bags must be placed curbside by 6:00 AM on your service day. Pickup times vary but generally occur between 6:00 AM and 5:00 PM.

Holiday Trash Schedule

BSS Waste observes the following holidays, which result in pickup delays:

  • New Year’s Day – No delay if on a Saturday, one-day delay if on a weekday.

  • Memorial Day – One-day delay for all customers in the week of Memorial Day.

  • Independence Day – One-day delay if July 4th falls on a weekday.

  • Labor Day – One-day delay for all customers in the week of Labor Day.

  • Thanksgiving – One-day delay on Thursday and Friday of Thanksgiving week.

  • Christmas Day – No delay if on a Saturday, one-day delay if on a weekday.

For example, if your regular pickup is Thursday and the holiday falls on a Monday, your pickup will shift to Friday that week.

Holiday delays apply to trash, recycling, and yard waste pickup. Please note the updated schedule and ensure carts are out by 6:00 AM on the adjusted day.

Additional Trash Policies

  • All trash must be bagged – no loose trash directly in carts.

  • Bagged trash must fit completely inside carts with lids fully closed.

  • Trash bags outside of carts will not be collected.

  • Weight limits: Carts cannot exceed 50 lbs; trash bags cannot exceed 35 lbs each.

  • Bulky items like furniture can be scheduled for pickup by calling customer service. Fees may apply.

  • Construction debris, hazardous waste, tires, and electronics cannot be collected with regular trash.

Recycling and Yard Waste Schedules

  • Recycling is collected every other week on your designated day. Check your postcard or call customer service to confirm.

  • Yard waste like leaves, branches, and brush is also collected on an alternating bi-weekly schedule.

  • One-time pickup – Schedule a single pickup as needed for $15-$25 per item.

  • Short-term service – Get 1-6 months of weekly pickup.

  • Ongoing service – Weekly pickup with no end date. Discount rates for 6-12 month prepayment.

  • On-hold service – Put your pickup on hold for up to 3 months per year for $15 per month.
